The Golden Slipper’s Fall Workshops are cherished seasonal events held at their Germantown boutique in Nashville. Two workshops capture the feeling of the season. At the Wreath Workshop, guests can gather for an enchanting evening crafting stunning wreaths made from fresh, locally sourced fall foliage—with each design rich in color, texture, and autumnal charm. The DIY Ghost Painting Workshop is a spooky good time - painting little ghosts and fall scenes onto a canvas. Both workshops includes sips and bites and a gift! Reserve your spot on their website.

The Haunted Canoe Trip on the Caney Fork River is setting the stage for this chilling adventure, The Haunted Canoe Trip takes you into the spooky world of the Caney after dark. This haunting venture is an epic, spine-tingling ghost tour that first wanders to the old cemetery. Stay close as you hear the accounts of a flooded town with lost graves, ghostly encounters, unexplained voices, and eerie sounds.
Unlike other staged haunted attractions, this ghost tour first takes you on a walk through an old military recreation base where you’ll quiver at the stories of ghostly hauntings and frightening things that have happened over the past 60 years as you continue slowly down the dark path through the base leading to the water’s edge. Once there, if you’re brave enough, you’ll board your canoe and paddle over the original location of the old 1800s sunken cemetery that is just a mere 15 feet below the water’s surface. This is where many believe lost graves still remain and those spirits trapped just beneath these dark waters of Cemetery Cove. Learn more and get your tickets here!

The Golden Pheasant Triathlon is a fun take on a triathlon where instead of swimming, you kayak!, followed by biking and running. It is an annual event with proceeds benefiting Friends of Shelby Park and Bottoms and Walk Bike Nashville, and celebrating the mysterious golden pheasant that once inhabited Shelby Bottoms. This is a non-competitive, community-focused event that doesn’t care if you are an experience athlete or a novice. People are just invited to have fun, enjoy the outdoors and be active - oh there are costume prizes too! This year the triathlon is on Sunday, September 28. Participants will kayak 2 miles on the Cumberland River, bike 8 miles on the Shelby Park Greenway, and run a 3 mile loop around Shelby Park. Registration is open now online.
